Dr. Michele Kehrer, PT, DPT, ATC launched LifeStyle Physical Therapy & Balance Center, a new leading-edge physical therapy clinic, to facilitate rapid recovery of neurological dizziness and balance disorders as well as musculoskeletal issues. About Vestibular Disorders
A vestibular disorder is an inner ear disorder that can cause symptoms of dizziness, vertigo, headaches, nausea and a loss of balance, amongst other symptoms. There are different types of vestibular disorders, including BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo), peripheral or central vestibulopathy, vestibular migraine, Meniere’s Disease, and labrynthitis, each of which are caused by different reasons and have different treatment plans. LifeStyle physical therapists have the proper training to correctly evaluate, diagnose and treat vestibular disorders to ensure efficient and effective therapy.

Vestibular Support Group
If you deal with dizziness and balance disorders, vertigo, or other vestibular disorders, join us for our Vestibular Support Group. Lifestyle Physical Therapy conducts four to six VSG meetings per year to support patients and community members who have been affected by vestibular disorders. Education & Career Development
Dr. Michele Kehrer PT, DPT, ATC and Dr. Lindsay Ternes PT, DPT teach an Introduction to Vestibular Rehabilitation & Fall Prevention course for physical therapists interested in garnering the knowledge and tools necessary to correctly diagnose and manage balance disorders. This course is approved for CEU credits by the Illinois Physical Therapy Association.
